Introduction

These Terms of Service govern your use of The Bridal Tailor's services and website. By engaging The Bridal Tailor's services or using this website, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Services Provided

The Bridal Tailor provides professional alteration services for bridal gowns, evening wear, prom dresses, and other formal garments. All services are provided on an appointment-only basis and are subject to availability.

Appointments and Consultations

  • All fittings and consultations are by appointment only
  • Appointments must be scheduled in advance through the contact methods provided
  • If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours' notice
  • Late arrivals may result in shortened appointment times or rescheduling
  • The Bridal Tailor reserves the right to refuse service at its discretion

Pricing and Payment

  • Pricing is determined based on the complexity of alterations required
  • A detailed quote will be provided within 48 hours of your initial consultation
  • A deposit of 50% will be required to secure your booking
  • The balance is due on the day of your final fitting
  • Accepted payment methods will be confirmed at the time of booking

Garment Care and Responsibility

Whilst The Bridal Tailor takes every care with your garments:

  • You are responsible for ensuring garments are clean before alterations
  • The Bridal Tailor is not responsible for pre-existing damage, wear, or defects
  • Delicate fabrics and embellishments may be subject to inherent risks during alteration
  • You should inform The Bridal Tailor of any known issues with the garment
  • Insurance for high-value items is recommended and is your responsibility
  • Garments left uncollected for more than 90 days may be disposed of

Fittings and Alterations

  • Three fittings are included in the quoted price before additional charges will be incurred
  • Additional fittings may be required, for example, due to weight gain and/or pregnancy and equally significant weight loss, and will incur additional cost
  • You must attend fittings wearing appropriate undergarments and shoes
  • MUST: Fittings cannot be undertaken without the correct undergarments and shoes intended to be worn on the day of the client's event
  • The Bridal Tailor will make every effort to complete work by agreed deadlines with a collaborative client
  • Rush orders will incur additional charges, typically a 50% surcharge, but dependent on the complexity of the alteration and the capacity/workload of The Bridal Tailor

Timelines and Collection

  • You will be notified when your garment is ready for collection on the date agreed between both parties
  • During the fitting process appointments may be rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances or fabric/material issues
  • Garments should be collected promptly after completion
  • Storage fees may apply for garments not collected within 30 days

Satisfaction and Adjustments

The Bridal Tailor is committed to your satisfaction. If you are not satisfied with the alterations, please notify The Bridal Tailor immediately upon collection. Reasonable adjustments will be made at no additional charge if the issue is due to workmanship. However, changes to the original specifications or fit preferences may incur additional charges.

Limitation of Liability

The Bridal Tailor's liability is limited to the cost of the alteration services provided. The Bridal Tailor is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special damages, including but not limited to loss of use, inconvenience, or emotional distress. The Bridal Tailor is not responsible for the original quality or construction of garments.

Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images, logos, and designs, is the property of The Bridal Tailor and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without express written permission.

Photography and Marketing

The Bridal Tailor may request permission to photograph your garment for portfolio and marketing purposes. Your consent will be obtained before any images are used publicly. You have the right to decline or withdraw consent at any time.

Cancellations and Refunds

  • Deposits are non-refundable once work has commenced
  • If you cancel after alterations have begun, you may be charged for work completed
  • Refunds are at the discretion of The Bridal Tailor and depend on the circumstances
  • No refunds will be given for changes in personal preference after completion

Force Majeure

The Bridal Tailor shall not be held liable for any delay or failure to perform services due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to illness, family emergencies, natural disasters, severe weather, power failures, or other unforeseen events. In such circumstances, The Bridal Tailor will make every reasonable effort to notify clients promptly and reschedule appointments or complete work as soon as practicable. No refunds or compensation will be provided for delays caused by force majeure events.

Disputes and Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or the services provided will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. The Bridal Tailor encourages clients to raise any concerns directly to resolve issues amicably.

Changes to Terms

The Bridal Tailor reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
